Van Jones an adviser to President Obama has resigned over controversy relating to the September 11 attacks. Van had tried to apologize repeatedly over the comments that he made in the past but in the end people just do not forget. Jones made the following statement regarding his resignation "On the eve of historic fights for healthcare and clean energy, opponents of reform have mounted a vicious smear campaign against me," "They are using lies and distortions to distract and divide."
