ABC has announced that Diane Sawyer is leaving Good Morning America to replace Charlie Gibson on World News. The switch at the anchor position on World News will not take place until the start of 2010 when Gibson plans on retiring from full time work. Diane Sawyer has been on Good Morning America since 1999.
