Twitter is the greatest thing since slice bread and the number one question that you hear is "How do I get more Twitter followers now!". The following tips will help you do just that with techniques that have worked for me.
1. Comment on a ton of blogs especially the big ones - It is really simple instead of using an actual website for your address stick in your Twitter profile page and if your comment is somewhat reasonable chances are the viewers of that page will follow your link to your Twitter profile page. Any idea how many people turn to certain blogs and news sites each day? A hell of a lot. Do not spam though as no one will follow you
2. Take part in discussions of big time Twitters - Ashton Kutcher has millions of followers so when he is having a discussion about anything make sure that you are taking part. It is not likely that Ashton will follow you back but a number of his followers might.
3. Post about what is popular at that moment. Twitter tells you what the top ten topics people are talking about and when someone is searching for "Twitter is responsible for shorter essays" they will see your name and with a quick look at your profile page they can quickly see if your someone they want to follow.
