Floyd Mayweather is taking on Juan Manuel Marquez tonight on PPV from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Mayweather came in two pounds heavy off the agreed weight of 144 pounds and this will cost Floyd $600000. Juan Manuel Marquez came in at 142 pounds and should prove to be a tough battle for Floyd Mayweather. Mayweather has not been in the ring since December 2007 when he beat Ricky Hatton while Marquez is the current WBA and WBO world lightweight belts. As for the money end of the fight Floyd Mayweather is guaranteed ten million bucks plus (minus the $600,000 for the overweight penalty) while Juan Manuel Marquez is guaranteed $3.2 million plus the penalty assessed to Mayweather.
