Brett Favre has official retired after filling retirement papers with the NFL. Brett Favre whose last couple of years in the National Football League have been far from picture perfect has announced that this time he is officially done with playing football. Brett Favre who has been playing in the NFL for a remarkable 20 years including a starting streak of 297 NFL games.

Adam Pacman Jones Signs With Bengals Photos

NFL bad boy Adam Pacman Jones has reportedly signed a two year contract with the Cincinnati Bengals. Pacman Jones was released from the Dallas Cowboys after he violated an NFL policy which he was suspended for a year from the football league. There is no doubt that Pacman Jones has the potential to be an NFL star but the question seems to be can he avoid the off field trouble that has cast a dark shadow over his playing ability.

Larry Johnson Suspended Photos

Larry Johnson has been suspended by the Kansas City Chiefs until November 9 2009 for comments that he made on Twitter. Larry Johnson used a gay slur on Twitter twice in a twenty four hour period that has been published world wide. Due to the Kansas City Chiefs having a bye week Larry Johnson will only miss one game.

Ahman Green Signs With Green Bay Packers Photos
Ahman Green has signed with the Green Bay Packers after being released by Texans back in February 2009. Ahman Green enjoyed a solid career with the NFL Packers from 2000 to 2006 which included four pro bowl appearances. Ahman Green signed a large contract with the Houston Texans but his time was filled with injuries causing the NFL team to release him. Ahman Green is in Green Bay to replace DeShawn Wynn who is out for the year with a major knee injury.

Tony Fein Dead Photos

Tony Fein the all star college football player was pronounced dead at a hospital in Mississippi hospital yesterday he was 27. Tony Fein had tried out for both the Baltimore Ravens and Seattle Seahawks this summer but failed to make the roster of the NFL clubs. Fein was all so a veteran from the Iraq War. Tony Fein had some legal issues earlier this year when he was pulled over by police and ended up in a shoving match with officers who believe that Fein had a gun which ultimately proved to be a cell phone. No cause of death has been given so far in the tragic passing of Tony Fein.

Michael Crabtree has finally signed a contract with the San Francisco 49ers after a long holdout process. It is believed that Crabtree has signed a six year deal with the NFL franchise and he should be at practice this week. Michael Crabtree agents threatened that the star college player would sit out the year and reenter the NFL draft in 2010.

Nike No Deal With Michael Vick Photos

Nike has announced that they have no sponsorship deal with Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick. Yesterday Vick lawyer announced that his client had renewed the relationship with the sporting goods giant but according to Nike they will supply Vick with merchandise but they are not paying him to wear or use their product. Nike cut Michael Vick loose after the quarterback was brought up on dog fighting charges a couple of years ago.

Brian Urlacher Done For Season Photos

Brian Urlacher is done for the season according to the Chicago Bear. In the last game versus the Green Bay Packers Urlacher dislocated his wrist and the injury is going to require surgery. Brian Urlacher is a six time Pro Bowler told the local press that his season was over but the Chicago Bears front office would not give a time line on the injury.

Matthew Stafford Named Starting Lions Quarterback Photos

Matthew Stafford has been named the starting quarterback for the Detroit Lions. Stafford who was the number one pick in last years NFL draft signed a contract worth close to $78 million over the next six years. The good news for Matthew is the Detroit Lions had an absolutely dismal season last year so it is not like they can get any worse.

Shawne Merriman Tila Tequila UPDATE Photos

Early this morning Tila Tequila called police to say that she was being choked and restrained by her boyfriend San Diego Charger Shawne Merriman. When police arrived at the scene they saw a visibly shaken Tila and Merriman was arrested after Tila signed a citizen warrant. Police brought Shawne to the police station on charges of suspicion of battery and false imprisonment. Tila Nguyen was taken to the hospital and released a short time later. The front office of the NFL San Diego Chargers released a statement basically saying they are following the legal aspect of the case and will make a decision when all of the information was in.

Shawne Merriman has been arrested for allegedly assaulting Tila Tequila in San Diego early this morning. Tila told police that San Diego Chargers player Merriman choked her after she attempted to leave his home. Tila was transported to the hospital while Shawne faces charges of battery and false imprisonment.

Richard Seymour Traded Oakland Raiders Photos

Richard Seymour the defensive lineman for the New England Patriots has been traded to the Oakland Raiders for a future draft pick. Seymour has been in the NFL for the last eight seasons with over 350 tackles and almost forty sacks. The future draft pick will take place in 2011 during the first round.

Brett Favre Fined For Illegal Block Photos

The NFL has fined Minnesota Viking quarterback Brett Favre $10,000 for an illegal block during the Houston Texans on Monday night. In the game Brett Favre threw what is called a crackback block at the knee of Eugene Wilson, basically Favre threw his entire body at the Texan. Favre blames rust and old age for the illegal block on Wilson.
